What would you do to fight narco-trafficking, crime and the proliferation of the underground economy?

- her answers to your questions

There is an old saying that the fish rots from the head.  This truism is apt here in Guyana as we examine the crime situation and as we fashion solutions to combat the escalating levels of crime in Guyana.  The absolute first step in eradicating the scourge of crime in Guyana is to have persons of personal integrity serve as the leaders of the government.  The leaders of the country simply have to lead by example.  It becomes extremely difficult if not impossible for the population to adhere to the laws of Guyana when the administration does not.  We can cite examples of official lawlessness such as the inability to account for the people’s money, the criminal wrong doing of government ministers and officials, the draconian dictates of our President, and any number of other issues that amount to official lawlessness.

Do you believe that Guyana would vote for a 'woman' again as its President?

- her answers to your questions

There is no question that Guyanese will vote for the person who they believe can lead them out of the morass of ineptitude, cronyism, nepotism, corruption, and maladministration that this government has gotten us into – be that person a man or a woman.  The Guyanese population is sufficiently astute and sophisticated not to consider gender when they choose their leaders even if the topographical shape of the country is seen by many as the shape of a woman.

- her answers to your questions

The People’s National Congress remains a most viable and influential force in the political landscape of Guyana.  It must be recognized that the PNC gets its support from a broad base of Guyanese who firmly believe that the policies that the PNC espouses are worthy of their support.  Any political party that has the level of support as the PNC does, will always have the ability to shape decision making in Guyana.

- her answers to your questions

Some key aspects I would like to contribute to the Guyana’s manifesto or Work programme (to be developed through strategic interactive developmental consultations with the Guyanese public at home and abroad) are bound up in issues of Poverty, Resource development, Crime and Security; improving on governance, creating sound and inclusive institutions, combating corruption, building social cohesion at the local, regional, and national levels to allow fuller participation in the development of the country, while we promote a vibrant civil society and a dynamic private sector; equity and development programmes for the welfare of Women and Children; Education; Amerindian Rights; Land and Wealth Distribution and other programmes.

- her answers to your questions

Politics is about people, resources and governance and I am the most experienced interested candidate at understanding and motivating the development of these assets and factor respectively. I do believe that the vision that I have articulated for our country, my commitment to public service, and competency have and will continue to capture the abiding commitment of our citizens to elect me as their President.

I have served people, not only the citizens of our country in every nook and cranny, but I have served people the world over (Asia, Africa, Latin America, the USA and the Caribbean) in humanitarian and development capacities.
