Harding ready to lead by example, if elected president

Senior Policy Advisor to the World Bank and executive member of the People’s National Congress Reform ( PNC/ R), Dr Faith Harding, says that she possesses all of the necessary skills, qualifications and leadership abilities to be president of Guyana. Dr Harding is one of four party members who have indicated their intention to contest for the post of presidential candidate of the PNCR. Speaking with Guyana Times from Sudan, Dr Harding expressed confidence that voters and PNCR members would support her as president.

Faith Harding throws hat in the race

Former minister Dr Faith Harding has announced her interest in being the main opposition PNCR’s first female presidential candidate when polls are held next year. “I am very upbeat about its [the PNCR’s] future as the next government to lead our nation,” Harding said in a statement to Capitol News. “I have no doubt that each member of our party will recognize that each and every one of them has a stake in not only our party’s successful representation of the people of Guyana but in the party’s leadership of our nation. We are all together in the party’s successes and failures.”

Woman prepares for presidential candidate race in PNCR

Dr. Faith Harding Former minister in the Desmond Hoyte-led administration of the Peoples National Congress Reform (PNCR), Dr Faith Harding--appearing set to make a bid to become the presidential candidate for her party-- is adding her voice for an end to petty squabbles and factionalism ahead of the 2011 general election. "Understanding, discipline, camaraderie, maturity and trust will displace the suspicions, discontent, anger, petty disputes and diversions that may exist in the minds and actions of some members of our party," the 63-year old Harding told the privately-owned nightly Capitol News that's broadcast on WRHM Channel 7.
